Here is the relevant information about custom-made copper powder sintered filter elements:

Customization Process

  1. Requirement Communication: Communicate customization needs with the supplier, including the application scenario of the filter element, filtering medium, flow rate requirements, filtration precision, etc., so that the supplier can recommend appropriate parameters such as copper powder material, particle size, and porosity.
  2. Design Confirmation: The supplier conducts structural design of the filter element according to the customer's needs, determines the shape (such as disc-shaped, cylindrical, frustum-shaped, etc.), size (diameter, length, thickness, etc.), connection method (such as threaded connection, flange connection, etc.) of the filter element, and provides design drawings for the customer's confirmation.
  3. Raw Material Procurement: Purchase appropriate copper powder raw materials according to the confirmed design requirements. Generally, spherical copper powder with high purity is selected, such as spherical tin bronze alloy powder with a copper content of 89%. The particle size of copper powder is usually between 20 mesh and 300 mesh.
  4. Mold Making: Manufacture corresponding molds according to the shape and size of the filter element. The precision and quality of the mold have an important impact on the forming effect and dimensional accuracy of the filter element.
  5. Powder Filling and Pressing: Uniformly fill the copper powder into the mold, then press it under a certain pressure to make the copper powder initially form a green body with a certain strength and shape.
  6. Sintering Process: Put the pressed green body into a high-temperature furnace for sintering. Under high temperature and reducing atmosphere, diffusion and bonding occur between copper powder particles, forming a firm metallurgical bond, so that the filter element has high strength, hardness and porosity. Sintering temperature and time are key process parameters, which need to be precisely controlled according to the type, particle size of copper powder and the requirements of the filter element.
  7. Subsequent Processing: The sintered filter element may need some subsequent processing, such as cutting, grinding, drilling, tapping, etc., to meet the dimensional accuracy and connection requirements of the filter element. For filter elements with special requirements, surface treatment such as electroplating and passivation may also be required to improve the corrosion resistance and wear resistance of the filter element.
  8. Quality Inspection: Conduct comprehensive quality inspection on the custom-made copper powder sintered filter elements, including appearance inspection (such as surface flatness, presence of cracks, holes, etc.), size measurement, porosity detection, filtration precision test, compressive strength test, corrosion resistance test, etc., to ensure that the filter elements meet the customer's requirements and relevant standards.
  9. Packaging and Delivery: Package the qualified filter elements, select appropriate packaging materials and methods to prevent the filter elements from being damaged during transportation and storage. Then deliver them according to the time and place required by the customer.
